Location: The Market Place, Station Road, Thorpe Le Soken , Essex
A design only project, Wright Ruffell (Sturricks) Ltd obtained planning permission and building regulation approval.
Our client was looking for a company to provide ideas which would allow the site to realise its full potential. Again, using their extensive planning knowledge, Wright Ruffell (Sturricks) Ltd designed 2 industrial units and 3 offices which emulated an old farm courtyard with barn like units offering stable and hayloft conversions for offices.
The selection of materials chosen by Wright Ruffell (Sturricks) Ltd included soft red brick plinths, black stained essex boarding, rendered panels and selective cobbled type paving. The choice of materials was essential in giving the impression that the development was converted rather than new build, all of which lead to the project recently receiving commendation from members of Tendring District Council.
